Gujarat-based semiconductor packaging company Suchi Semicon aims to produce and package 1.5 lakh chips per day in its commercial production phase, which is set to begin later this month, the company’s managing director Ashok Mehta said.

The Surat-based company has also set an ambitious target of packaging and producing up to 3–4 million chips per day after 3–4 months, when the plant will receive new upgraded machinery, Mehta said.“After we achieve the target of 3–4 million chips per day, then we will decide whether we want to go for forward or backward integration.
